Description:

FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 31 JULY 2025

Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK’s largest and most popular higher education institutions. The Department of Recruitment and Admissions plays a key role in recruiting and admitting new students to the University. As part of our student recruitment work we annually communicate with over 100,000 enquirers and applicants through campaigns and manage in excess of 40,000 visitors to our campuses. All our activities are designed to provide potential students with information, advice and guidance to help them make informed choices about going to university and Manchester Met.
This role will sit within the Recruitment and Widening participation team, and is one of a small number of roles which have responsibility for coordinating and delivering our subject specific outreach. You will lead on the activity delivered for the Faculty of Business and Law, whilst supporting the wider team to deliver a range of generic student recruitment events.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate the life changing benefits of higher education and degree apprenticeships to a wide range of audiences.
  • Confident working with a wide range of key stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the university application process, 14-19 qualifications and student finance.
  • Experienced in working independently for large periods of time, and at prioritising and organising your own workload.
  • Skills to plan, write reports and make recommendations.
  • Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of recruitment and widening participation outreach activity undertaken within the faculty.
  • Produce and analyse data and information that will support future decision making.
  • Build and nurture relationships with academic and professional service staff to develop and deliver interventions to meet the faculty and University objective.
  • Liaise with key schools and colleges on behalf of the faculty of Business and Law to ensure our portfolio and outreach offering is promoted.
  • Ensure that activity delivered is targeted, monitored and evaluated to maximise the impact of investment in this area.
  • Ensure potential students receive the very best information, advice and guidance about studying with the faculty of Business and Law at Manchester Met.
