Finance Manager

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Accounting and Statutory Finance team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa.

You will be part of our global Finance & Control organization consisting of experienced finance professionals. Accounting and Statutory Finance is a global organization with teams managed centrally from HQ and teams located in other Vaisala’s operating countries. You will lead a centrally managed accounting team of six accounting experts with the responsibility for accounting as well as group and statutory reporting of Vaisala group companies in six countries. With us your work is truly meaningful as you will enable Vaisala to solve the big environmental and societal challenges of our time. You will report to the Head of Accounting and Statutory Finance.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• solid accounting experience as a chief accountant, financial controller, finance manager, or similar role in publicly listed companies, accountancy companies, or from Finnish subsidiaries of global companies
• maturity to take on a leader’s role: you have the needed accounting expertise to coach your team and the ability to lead their performance
• strong knowledge of application of general accounting principles and good knowledge of IFRS and taxation
• SAP ERP user experience
• bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• fluent English language skills

• Lead, coach and support your accounting team, including clarification of the roles and responsibilities and backup arrangements of the recently reorganized team
• Ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely accounting as well as group and statutory reporting within your responsibility area
• Develop accounting process, internal controls, and solutions for scalability and global harmonization within Vaisala Group
• Act as S/4HANA Super User in GL
• Contribute to different projects in your expertise area
