Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for a full-time Fraud Analyst to an exciting position in the Data Analytics and Services department in Risk Management Service Area at Nexi, working in Finland.
By using off-the-shelf SAS FM tool with addition of in-house continuously updated rules together with XG Boost based Machine Learning model we detect and prevent payment card fraud for our customers. Payment fraud is a constant threat to consumers, merchants, and banks and therefore an area we continuously need to improve mitigating actions against it. Beyond our existing fraud prevention systems, we have also developed a Big Data environment around Hadoop. Based on our systems and understanding of data patterns we deliver fraud-mitigating services and produce internal and external reports on a regular basis.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Maintain and enhance performance of fraud prevention services
  • Make sure the custom prevention rules are up-to-date and optimally performing
  • Implement effective methods for monitoring, evaluation, and analytics
  • Collaborate with other domain experts to discover new fraud patterns that strengthen fraud prevention performanceResearch new areas of performance enhancement using data science

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or equivalent disciplines
  • Experience in card payment business or banking
  • At least some experience in working with reporting tools (e.g. MS Power BI, Tableau)
  • Proficient skills in English both orally and in writin
