• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development, with expertise in Spring / Kotlin.
• Flutter or vue.js experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g. AWS or OTC) and experience with cloud infrastructure management and Terraform.
• Understanding of software security practices, with a focus on protecting sensitive health data.
• Analytical mindset with a strong project management skillset and an autonomous working style.

THE ROLE

As a Freelance Software Engineer you will work alongside our engineering team and support them with various tasks required in bringing the Frieda vision to life. Tasks will include API design and implementation, infrastructure management, implementing development best practices, and supporting front end development where required.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement the backend infrastructure for our health mobile app using Kotlin and Spring, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Design and build automation processes that enhance Frieda’s in house tooling.
• Extend our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes using Terraform and Ansible, adopting best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Collaborate closely with the frontend team, product managers, UX/UI designers, medical and regulatory experts to ensure seamless integration and alignment with our app’s features and objectives.
