Jennie Joiner with Robert Half is seeking a diligent and meticulous Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in EUGENE, Oregon. The successful candidate will be tasked with recording daily financial transactions, ensuring their accuracy, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. In addition, the individual will be expected to handle collections, prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax, and prepare annual 1099s and personal property tax reports. This role is a stand-alone accountant position and does not supervise. Our client is seeking someone who ideally has experience with sales and use tax and has advanced Excel skills. • Accurately document daily financial transactions and ensure their correct recording in various ledgers.
• Assist in creating and analyzing financial reports to aid managerial decision making.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable by handling invoices, payments, and tax-related matters promptly.
• Maintain accurate financial records and generate reports and statements.
• Contact customers who are past due on invoices, effectively managing collections.
• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax in multiple states.
• Prepare and file annual 1099s and personal property tax reports.
• Gain a working knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory, Sales Order Processing, and the Wireless Warehouse.
• Understand and implement new policies, procedures, or protocols when necessary.
• Back up Accounts Payable and Purchasing employees with training.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook
• Able to perform Accounting Functions effectively
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Experience in Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation
• Full Charge Bookkeeping experience is a must
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
