About The Role:
We are looking for a Fund Director for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions, an exciting and growing environment. Contributors in this role will coordinate fund reporting, work with internal and external collaborators, and maintain the client relationship.
What You’ll Do:
- Review fund financial statements and provide strategic insights and analysis. Review financial performance and provide a forward-looking view and strategic advice to the management team.
- Handle portfolio budgets, forecasts, and reports for clients/investors.
- Serve as a liaison and strategically build relationships with key partners.
- Manage the treasury/cash management function for the client.
- Develop responses to RFPs, attending and participating in sales pitches to present accounting solutions in pursuit of new fund-level business.
- Handle capital request and budgeting progress, reviewing new contracts and business opportunities. May oversee multiple deals of varying sophistication.
- Oversee fund structuring (setting-up/maintaining), joint venture structuring and underlying inquiries, subscriptions, and redemptions terms and conditions.
- Collaborate internally in handling special requirements as defined in the Management Agreement and scope of services in the Financial Services Agreement.
- Lead and support staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 10+ years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Prior experience in fund (NAV) accounting, specifically with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems such as Yardi.
- Requires knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations including proven knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP).
- Confident understanding of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology.
- Strong coordinative skills and well-developed judgment.
New York Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
