Description:

Overview of the Role
The Client Service Associate partners with associates across Global Client Group to service clients (Institutional and High Net Worth) or Distributors investing in, or distributing the company’s products. Under supervision, the role communicates with clients and focuses on supporting the onboarding of new client accounts, delivering reports to clients, and working with business partners to service client needs throughout the client lifecycle. This role collaborates closely with teams across the enterprise to deliver an outstanding client experience.
More specifically, the Client Service Associate, as part of the broad EMEA client service team based in Frankfurt and London, will support institutional clients domiciled in EMEA covering Real Assets as well as Equity and Fixed Income mandates partnering with other employees globally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work effectively with specific fund teams, building relationships and knowledge of the funds to support our investors proactively
  • Support in managing existing client relationships: responding to client queries and requests promptly and effectively, working with clients on projects and issues, ensuring that the client expectations are met and the client experience is positive
  • Proactively anticipate clients’ requirements by maintaining regular contact and communicating any concerns to the Senior Client Services Manager and the respective investment teams
  • Co-ordination, organization of and attendance at fund related events, e.g. planning of Investor Days, Investor Committee meetings, webinars, site visits
  • Review and distribution of regular investment reports or customized investor reports ensuring accuracy and completeness; these must meet set timeframes and client deadlines and add value where possible
  • Manage the relationship with internal or external stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Distribution, Compliance, third party custodians etc.
  • Onboarding of new investors
  • Ensuring AML / KYC and compliance obligations are met and kept up to date in line with corporate policy and in accordance with local regulation
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and supporting materials for client meetings
  • Database maintenance and compilation of business metrics
  • Liaising with third parties to ensure technical support is received on all issues concerning administration, investment accounting and custody
  • Participate in relevant projects across the department, particularly those which look to mitigate risk, improve operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional client service
  • Keeping up to date with any regulatory changes

Required Skills:

  • Degree educated
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with proven experience in a similar client facing function
  • Experience and knowledge within private and/or public market asset classes (Real Estate, Real Assets, Fixed Income, Equities)
  • Proven experience of managing client relationships within Investment Management
  • Attention to detail; Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently to meet client deliverables
  • Strong team player, must be highly motivated and capable of working independently to achieve team performance targets
  • Fluent in English and German (written and speaking)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Salesforce knowledge advantageous
