Amplifi is the supply-side platform of dentsu, consisting of three pillars: Investment Management, Media Trading (Media Owner Services and Principal Buying) and Content (Original Partnerships & Entertainment); all underpinned by Supply-Side Management practises.

Amplifi is the investment and innovation arm of dentsu across all media channels and entertainment content. The proposition is based on the delivery of value for all in everything we do.   • Investment Management: Local management of productivity and all media buying and activation across all media channels to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Trading: Leverage our group buying power to enable innovation and product development with the supply side to provide a competitive offering for our clients and sustainable media income for dentsu.
  • Entertainment Content: Enabling new business models through content development, financing, acquisition, and distribution.
  • Supply-Side management: The three pillars are all under-pinned by Supply-side management for dentsu. This is focused on the modernisation of our approach including the one entity for the management of all media owner procurement with a clear focus on robust and rigorous processes.

We are hiring for a Global Digital Trading Director as part of Amplifi in London
Purpose of the Role
To develop and implement a digital trading strategy that works seamlessly with the Amplifi commercial approach, supports Dentsu International objectives and delivers on our revenue goals.
The Global Digital Trading Director’s role is to work with the digital technology and media supply chain, as well as key internal stakeholders, with the aim of future proofing the Amplifi platform and delivering long term value to the Dentsu Media business. A core aspect of this role is to work with the Global Head of Trading to define where our next focus areas should be with our global digital media and ad-technology supply-side partners and to explore what risks and opportunities are on the horizon, resulting in a multi-year digital trading strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery of emerging high potential partners
  • Partnering in the design of key global frameworks and strategic partnerships
  • Being the main point of contact for trading requests for Global clients / client teams
  • Working closely with the Head of Trading to inform trading strategy and to ensure a joined-up approach when managing clients and our supplier partners
  • Close collaboration with the Agyle (Principal) trading team to develop new models generate revenue
  • Supporting the Trading and Operations teams in developing guidance to markets on partnership benefits and to educate them on their deliverables
  • Building and maintain expert knowledge of the digital marketplace, identifying underlaying trends that give us the edge in a competitive market
  • Writing opinion pieces to inform the global Amplifi community, as well as the Dentsu Media service line regarding industry and supplier policies
  • Supporting the Amplifi commercial pillars across Investment Management, Entertainment Content, Posterscope, dentsu Addressable and across the Dentsu Customer Experience Management (CXM) and Creative service lines
  • The creation of strategies and presentations using data and trading expertise
  • Guiding the wider Amplifi team on the appropriate governance required to ensure partnership delivery
  • Supporting on new business pitches (where appropriate)

Qualifications + Skills

  • 8+ years’ experience in the media
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of trading mechanics
  • Investment management and trading experience
  • Excellent client management, stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • An understanding of commercial innovation models and implementation
  • Evidence of strategic problem-solving approach to a fundamental business practice and processes
  • Ability to create and foster a community of various stakeholders
  • Experience in coaching and developing talent
