YOUR SKILLS

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (Packaging, Chemical, Mechanics) or comparable education/experiences required
  • 4+ years in Product or Packaging Compliance / Engineering / Packaging / Procurement
  • 2+ years international or intercultural work experience
  • Relevant technology/product/industry experience incl. work in Packaging Regulatory & Dangerous Goods Compliance
  • Legal background is a plus
  • Must be detail oriented to prevent errors and/or recognize unexpected results
  • Good computer skills and good knowledge of standard applications e.g. SAP and word processing software are required
  • Fluent English, German is a plus

Responsibilities:

THE TEAM LEAD GLOBAL PACKAGING REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE POSITION PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO UTILIZE MANAGEMENT SKILLS TO SUCCESSFULLY SUPPORT THE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS. THE TEAM LEAD GLOBAL PACKAGING REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING AND DRIVING THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED PACKAGING REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE TEAM. THE PROPER CANDIDATE WILL HAVE STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY COORDINATE AND PRIORITIZE THEIR OWN TIME FOR DAILY ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE THAT WORK PROJECTS ARE COMPLETED EFFICIENTLY.

  • Take responsibility for end-to-end global packaging compliance management system (incl. implementation) for Henkel Adhesive Technology
  • Develop packaging compliance policies, processes and work instructions, and guide operational execution in Henkel Adhesive Technology
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and manage packaging compliance escalations (e.g. in case of supplier non-compliance) with top management
  • Organize, guide and participate in regulatory working groups across functions (e.g. to answer requests from customers or authorities)
  • Monitor divisional-relevant global/regional/local packaging-specific legislations and lead / support in deriving technical requirements for packaging compliance, support the implementation and conduct the periodic review
  • Regularly review packaging compliance management system performance, based on KPIs, and perform spot-checks
  • Report divisional compliance status to top management
  • Define, implement and monitor packaging compliance improvement measures continuously
  • Conduct general and topic-specific trainings and track participation
  • Work closely with external service agencies providing regulatory information on global/regional/local level
