Your Role
Flexible work location : Clichy (France), Granada (Spain), Marlow (United Kingdom)

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related Business, Chemistry or Food Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement.
• Business English fluent. Other additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time.
• Strong understanding of strategic procurement processes, methods, and tools.
• Experience in a matrix organisation.
• Strategic thinker with a conceptual approach.
• Good prioritisation and structured way of working.
• Open and pro-active communicator, good presentation skills.
• Negotiation skills in complex environments.

• Develops and implements a global Strategic Sourcing plan across a broad set of categories to ensure portfolio turnover and spend review.
• Provides coaching and feedback on the Strategic Sourcing processes to build capability and mature practices across Procurement teams
• Identifies, develops, and implements global and regional sourcing strategies to reduce costs, mitigate headwinds, and improve security of supply at both regional and global level.
• Animate network around the world to ensure regional implementation and local execution.
• Effectively communicates strategies, results, and metrics to leadership teams as required.
• Effectively negotiates key commercial and supply positions for designated raw materials to the benefit of Symrise business requirements and goals. Identifies and negotiates global supply agreements where appropriate.
• Stays abreast of industry trends for assigned categories. Provides guidance and recommendations to business units in order to support margin and top line growth.
• Effectively implements strategic supplier strategies and initiatives. Develops business relationships at multiple levels within key supplier accounts to manage performance, quality improvement, productivity, and service level.
• Responsible to define and implement Responsible Sourcing process aligned with Global Sustainability global criteria. Animates projects around Sustainability and Scope 3 carbon reduction
• Escalates and engages appropriate supplier business leaders to address supply disruptions and constraints (Resilience Process)
• Develops, aligns, and drives strategic projects to improve procurement processes, tools, and efficiencies.
• Implements Procurement infrastructure in conjunction with functions and supply chain to assure availability at required quality & costs levels.
