Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in law, international business, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience, or otherwise demonstrated sufficient experience in a trade compliance role, preferably in an international operating industrial company.
- Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including ITAR, EAR, EU Dual-Use Regulation, U.S. and EU sanctions, and preferably customs regulations.
- Experience with automated sanctions screening systems.
- Experience with security protocols and best practices for handling controlled items.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in English.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Global Trade Compliance Officer to lead and manage our global trade compliance program. This role is crucial to ensuring our company adheres to all international trade laws and regulations, minimizing risk, and promoting ethical and responsible business practices. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of export controls, trade sanctions and customs procedures, and security governance for controlled items. Experience in Navy business is an asset.
This position can be located at our offices in Hamburg (German), Gothenburg (Sweden), Kaarina (Finland), Gdańsk (Poland) or Sofia (Bulgaria).
