Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief of Steward, the Goods Receiver at W Edinburgh will have overall responsibility for ensuring the hotel follows the Company’s established procedures, for receiving and distributing inventory and stock throughout the kitchens.
Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel’s. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, a people-person and passionate!

As Good Receiver, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Receive and organize deliveries by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver items to appropriately.
  • Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots.
  • Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
  • Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas.
