An opening is now available for a talented Assistant Accountant to join Autopact Victoria in our Epping Head Office. With proven experience in a similar role, we are looking for someone who can maintain accurate data and assist the Financial Controller with all general items. A strong background or tertiary qualification in Accounting or related will be highly advantageous.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A recent Accounting tertiary qualification or related is essential.
  • Proficient Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience with Pentana ERA computer system will be an advantage, but not essential.
  • General administration knowledge with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and phone manners.
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise urgent tasks.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly reporting including month-end procedures, adjustment journals, and reconciliations.
  • Assisting with reconciling monthly manufacturing accounts and payments.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller on a day-to-day basis.
  • Supporting Dealership managers.
  • Daily Floorplan payments and reconciliations.
  • Assisting in customer and staff refunds and finance payouts.
