We offer you a global arena filled with competent and innovative colleagues where you get to facilitate our data-driven collaborations across our entire organization. An excellent place to grow and learn. We’re eager to meet you!
Your mission
In this role, you assume end-to-end responsibility for all information, data, and business management needs within our organization. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, you continue the transformation of our work processes, ensuring timely access to accurate data. Our Data Office empowers managers and employees to make data-driven, fact-based decisions. To align data initiatives with business strategies, you collaborate not only with IT, Finance, and Management but also with the Business Area (Sandvik Machining Solutions, SMS). • Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and technologies to generate actionable insights, e.g. AI.
  • Select and implement data and analytics tools and technologies that align with business objectives.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of data and analytics on business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their data needs and find solutions to business challenges.
  • Communicating complex data insights in a clear and actionable way to non-technical audiences.
  • Create and present reports and dashboards to senior management that provide insights and recommendations.

The location for this position is flexible within Europe. International travel is part of the job.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with robust experience in a senior data and analytics leadership role, with a track record of driving business impact. We believe that you have experience with data governance, data quality and data security best practices as well as extensive knowledge in data visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent. Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling and machine learning techniques is a basic requirement to succeed in this role. Your knowledge is backed by a university degree in IT, Data Science, Finance or Business Administration and several years of experience in a similar position with people management experience. Acting in a truly global environment you need the ability to communicate fluently in English.
With your excellent communication and presentation skills, you can convey complex data concepts to various audiences. Your independent way of working enables you to easily prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. You also have strong project management and organizational skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, exactly the tools needed to successfully lead a global team across multiple sites, time zones, and geographical regions!
