Our team thrives on solving complex migration and warehousing problems. As a result of internal promotion, we are looking for a dynamic, commercially driven Head of Data Engineering to lead and grow our data engineering practice in the UK and contribute to the winning of new business.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy: Lead and scale the data engineering team, establishing best practices and guiding the strategic direction of the data engineering function within the organisation.
Client Relationship Management: Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs, ensuring our data solutions align with their business objectives in the short and longer term.
Solution Design: Architect, design, and deliver data engineering solutions that are scalable, reliable, and tailored to client needs, using modern cloud platforms and big data technologies.
Winning Work: Play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, pitching data solutions, and contributing to the consultancy’s business development efforts.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with data visualisation, data science, ai and other teams to ensure integrated and efficient data strategies across projects.
Mentoring & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the data engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Technical Oversight: Ensure best practices in data management, governance, and security, while overseeing data pipelines, architecture, and infrastructure for client projects.
