New Zealand Fine Touring Group (NZFT) is a technology-enabled travel business experiencing rapid growth. We are proud to operate a unique multichannel strategy, facilitating bucket-list touring holidays for international visitors who wish to experience the best of New Zealand and Australia. We are expanding into a fantastic new HQ in Wanaka in the stunning Queenstown Lakes region, and have recently opened our Australian office in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Head of Marketing to join our team. The role will lead a high performance team, having overall responsibility for the offer development, marketing funnel and lead generation of the entire business.
The role requires a strong marketing leader who is a creative, innovative and progressive thinker who can connect all aspects of marketing into efficient and seamless actions, and manage its execution to ensure targets are met and exceeded. You will love the challenge of managing multiple channels in the digital arena and will be viewed as our ‘voice of the customer’.
You will thrive in a scale up environment and enjoy finding the balance between both strategic initiatives and daily deliverables. You will be a key member of the leadership team and have the opportunity to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy, aligning it with the company’s objectives and growth targets.
Lead and mentor a team of passionate marketing professionals, providing guidance and support to drive high-performance results.
Embed a data-led approach to marketing activity and investment to generate high quality and relevant enquiries for the sales team to convert into client bookings.
Leverage your significant background in international marketing of online B2C and B2B propositions, to deliver world-class marketing activity to take our business to new heights.
You will manage the marketing investment budget and allocate resources effectively to achieve maximum ROI, optimising SEM, SEO, social, display advertising, PR and influencer marketing channels as appropriate to deliver high-growth, efficient lead generation and customer advocacy.
Measure and report on the success of marketing initiatives and campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimise performance.
Navigate ambiguity to solve problems in a pragmatic way and always maintain a growth mindset.
Requirements
You are naturally ambitious and able to overcome obstacles. You thrive in a high-performance environment.
10+ years experience in senior marketing and management roles, ideally within a similar digital-led industry, including demonstrated measurement of performance, meeting targets, KPIs and deadlines. B2C and B2B.
Strong hands-on marketing experience working in technology-enabled businesses with a focus on digital marketing (acquisition, engagement, transactions, retention) and customer experience strategies. Ideally with experience acquiring new clients in North America, UK, Asia, Australia and NZ.
Experience in the travel industry or similar is highly desirable. Ideally in a scale up environment.
Hands-on leadership style. You are an excellent marketer and love leading a lean, passionate marketing function. You’re not afraid to get on the tools and help with the execution.
Experience in leading effective people and teams, including demonstration of interpersonal skills with the ability to develop, build and leverage collaborative working relationships and drive high performance within your team and cross-functionally.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Strong experience in budget and financial management.
Relevant undergraduate and vocational marketing qualifications.
