Description:
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
We are now looking for Head of Value Engineering within Ericsson Antenna System. In this role you will be the main driver of our Antenna Value Engineering. You will define needed product design changes to achieve for our customers the best value on cost.
THE SKILLS YOU BRING:
- A Bachelor, Master’s or University degree in telecommunications, engineering, technology, or an equivalent qualification
- Previous People Management experience is required
- Demonstrated international experience and track record in driving cost reductions for services, products and/or solutions, always passionate to target the best value per cost
- Background in product cost analysis or technical procurement / sourcing is a plus
- Experience within the RF hardware industry with a sound understanding across the value chain
- Design to supply knowledge and experience in one of the fields of mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, able to successfully interact on all levels up to senior/executive management
- Highly analytical and methodical approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English written and spoken
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Value Engineering Area within R&D EAS
- Act as the centre of competence for product cost analytics and design to cost
- Analyse design base cost position towards competition and EAS supply capabilities and derive respective actions
- Define and execute benchmark activities and derive respective actions for inhouse design activities
- Be responsible to facilitate the identification of improvement potentials for cost of specific Lead Antenna within Design Base
- Determine cost gaps and their origin
- Collaborate closely with partners in R&D, Operations, Product Management, and other functions to develop and implement design to cost actions
- Define and drive verification of DTC actions with the area
- Collaborate closely with external partners achieving our cost & value targets
- Contribute to the strategy and process on efficiently reducing product cost and thereby securing a competitive position in the market
