Position Overview
Basecamp Properties is excited to open it’s third hotel in Revelstoke: Northwinds by Basecamp. We require full-time housekeepers to join our existing team at the Resort and Suites, and make our new property equally amazing. Our goal is, and always has been, to meet our guests expectations with a fresh clean room fluffed and ready for 4 pm check-in. The right candidate will have great attention to detail, be self-motivated, and be able to work both independently and in a team. Basecamp prides itself on the positive impact we have on our guests adventures.
Wage: $19.00 per hour
Shifts: Full Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure public areas are clean and well presented.
- Perform laundry tasks. These include, but are not limited to collecting, sorting, distributing, and stocking
- Ensure all lost property items left in guest rooms or public spaces are properly recorded and stored.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products and the correct handling procedures.
- Deliver and retrieves items that have been given to guests.
- Support Houseperson and deep cleaning duties when required.
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, making beds, and polishing.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
- Notify supervisors/managers of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Check stock levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
- Adhere to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Customer-oriented and friendly.
- Able to prioritize and has strong time management skills.
- Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, crouching, and kneeling.
