Overview:
Together with the HR Business Partner the HR Operations Specialist Netherlands & Belgium is responsible for ensuring payroll, time processing, compensation and administrative tasks are managed and up to date for their responsible countries.
The HR Operations Specialist will focus on executing international teammate transactions surrounding onboarding/promotions/transfers and offboarding within our HR system including responsible for managing payroll administration for his/her countries to ensure 0 mistake in payroll.
This position works in direct correlation with other HR Operations Specialists on the team and collaborates with all HR teams to ensure compliance, data quality and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding process for the responsible countries to ensure a best-in-class onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Administer new hire onboarding packets and new hire teammate information within the HRIS system.
  • Data management: Entering new hires, promotions, job changes/transfers, rehires and terminations. Ensure database is currently updated.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans and other benefits.
  • Responsible for the review, audit, correction, and maintenance of HRIS data to ensure integrity and compliance of teammate data within HRIS system.
  • Responsible for accurate payroll preparation to ensure that salaries and tax as well as other deductions comply with legal requirements.
  • Single point of contact for all teammates regarding pay, pension, social benefit, tax and other deductions.
  • Responsible for accurate and compliant time processing, and data.
  • Contact person for teammates in all aspects of time processing and work time models. Ensure compliance with labor law and local guidelines.
  • Keep up with changes in payroll regulations and country law adjust time processing system and prepare information to update and inform teammates in the respective countries.
  • Assist with M&A activity that involves teammate integrations within HR system, including large employee imports of data, new hire paperwork, system logins, PTO set-ups, contract preparation, integration letter preparation etc.
  • Involvement with enterprise-wide HR reporting within Paylocity. Partner with HR functional leaders on reporting needs as requested.
  • Respond to HR and teammate questions within assigned service levels.
  • Track trends in questions/issues recommending process improvements, communications, or education.
  • Deliver training (as provided by subject matter experts) to teammates providing further education on functionality for the HRIS system, time and labor, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations, including our data privacy and protection guidelines.
  • Regularly participate and contribute to process improvements or configuration changes.
  • All other ad-hoc projects related to support the Total Rewards team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial education or Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of (3) three years of related HR experience, preferably worked with HR systems
  • Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred
  • Fluent oral and written Dutch and English is a must
  • Networked thinking and problem-solving techniques
  • Accurate, speedy and independent way of working with attention to detail
  • Organizational skills to manage a high volume of new hires and other HR changes needed to be made within the system.
  • Ability to present to and deliver material in a clear and digestible way
  • Ability to balance being a proven teammate and working independently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
