THE POSITION

The Department of Transportation (DOT) Human Resource Office is seeking an experienced analyst that excels in articulating ideas clearly, navigating complex negotiations, and driving successful outcomes. This position gives you the opportunity to provide consultation on employee relations matters, process grievances, perform investigations for disciplinary actions, conduct Labor Management meetings, and provide training on employee relations issues. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Analyst 3 in our Field Operations Division, you will provide interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements for managers and supervisors. Work includes conducting fact-finding investigations as well as investigating and recommending resolution of arrests, charges, and convictions of any employee or prospective employee in accordance with the Governor’s Code of Conduct. You will have the opportunity to present cases at Eastern or Western Joint Area and State Committees. This position requires a deep working knowledge of the provisions within collective bargaining agreements and memorandums of understanding.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth title); or
  • Three years of analytical experience that includes two years of professional human resource experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
