Description:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
- Education in Human Resources, Labour relations, Business Administration or other related fields
- Human Resources experience and/or schooling
- Labour relations experience
- Ability to work in an armed environment
- Ability to work a varied work schedule Monday – Friday (Days and Evenings) across four time zones
- Ability to work a hybrid position (with a possibility of in office only in the future)
- Access to a vehicle and valid license - ability to commute to different branches across Ontario region
- Interpersonal, problem solving, organization skills and a team player
- Detail oriented and dedicated to meeting deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress & high volume environment
Responsibilities:
- Administrative functions: maintaining employee files and Human Resources records, generating employment letters etc.
- Foster employee engagement through day-to-day Human Resources activities and assisting with social events
- Participate in the department’s projects and process improvement plans, as needed
- Handling employee inquiries and day to day Human Resources functions
- Handling labour relations matters which may include harassment investigations, performance management and
- Preparing and documenting grievance and arbitration records
- Maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive employee matters and Company information
- Assisting with interpretation, application and implementation of our Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Responsibilities include assistance for Ontario and Western Canada Region
- Additional tasks as required
