We are looking for a Husbandry Agent to join our company.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers’ port calls as efficient and safe as possible.
This position reports to the Ships Agency Husbandry Centre Team Lead. The position works closely with Port Operations, the Commercial team, and Ships Agency Credit management functions.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordination with Account sales on matters related to the coordination and service performance of Husbandry port calls entering the area.
  • Respond and follow up on customer enquiries.
  • Ensure that all appointments are handled without delay and assigned correctly to responsible for service execution
  • Ensure advance funding is remitted correctly to local agent’s bank
  • Ensure pre-funding are received or the correct level of authority has approved any deviation, prior to performing the Port Call.
  • Coordinate port calls and services effectively, including proper monitoring of the vessel and attendance to any change requests in compliance with Ships Agency Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor and record expenses that arise during vessels’ port call.
  • For global port calls, monitor the execution of the port call and work closely with Operations to ensure that we meet customers’ expectations
  • Ensure Cash-in-Transit (Cash to Master) seamless transaction
  • Suggest process improvements based on efficiency, productivity or cost effectiveness gains.
  • Register and follow up complaints/non-compliances through improvement processes
  • Attend business review meetings with customers as required and interact with the relevant stakeholders

Who you are:

  • Experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations
  • Ability to work independently and systematically
  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
  • Ability and aptitude to learn is a must
  • Training can be provided to bring the candidate up to speed with the requisite knowledge to perform the job
