Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Compliance Manager with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our dynamic tax team. This role is critical in ensuring our company complies with all indirect tax regulations, including VAT, GST, sales and use taxes, and other transaction taxes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex tax compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management:
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and submission of indirect tax returns (VAT, GST) in multiple jurisdictions globally.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all indirect tax returns to avoid penalties and interest.
  • Tax Advisory and Planning:
  • Provide guidance and support to various business units on indirect tax matters
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure correct tax reporting and follow-ups.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Develop and implement best practices for indirect tax compliance and reporting processes.
  • Lead and participate in projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of indirect tax compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks, ensuring adequate controls are in place.
  • Provide trainings to colleagues.
  • Liaise with external advisors and consultants as needed.

SO, WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in indirect tax compliance, preferably within a multinational corporation or a Big Four accounting firm.
  • Proven track record in managing indirect tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of VAT, GST, sales and use tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
