Description:
This challenge awaits you:
At IAV, audio signal processing for infotainment systems of the future is being developed in the Sound, Audio & Voice Functions area. The focus is on the development and tuning of signal processing algorithms for entertainment, emergency call systems and telephony as well as speech recognition for voice assistants. As a working student, you will support us in developing voice control in the vehicles and thus gain deep insights into relevant development methods and tools in the automotive audio environment.
Your Tasks:
- Ongoing development and support of the audio platform (hardware & software)
- Sound processing of the entertainment system
- Carrying out acoustic measurements with subsequent evaluation
- Securing the signal flow
- Optional: Interface development between audio system and development software (Python)
Necessary Skills:
- Ongoing studies in the field of sound engineer/engineer, media technology, electrical engineering or similar
- Practical experience in dealing with professional audio technology (recording studio or event technology)
- Basic understanding of audio processing systems (e.g. DAWs, Max/MSP)
- Good communication skills in German or English
- Enjoy practical work, as well as a structured, independent and goal-oriented way of working
Desired Skills:
- Programming knowledge is an advantage (ideally Python)
Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.00. From February 2025, the monthly salary for this position will be EUR 1,012.00.
