Description:

Proactively support and enable the sales cycle from initial qualification, through to working with the overlay teams and technical consultants to achieve a positive impact on a customer/ prospect.

  • Work with and develop new and existing Defence accounts
  • Work with and develop vendor and distribution relationships
  • Support and Co-ordinate the MOD Catalogue
  • Support, Co-ordinate and where appropriate take the lead on MOD Tenders and RFI’s
  • Meet team performance targets
  • Ensure customer service standards are high and continually improving

The main responsibilities are:

  • Work with new and existing accounts to generate solutions and services opportunities
  • Collaborate with existing and developing vendor/distribution partnerships and provide Defence-orientated insights and intelligence
  • Manage MOD procurement processes including product code creation and management
  • Assist in managing the sales pipeline for the team and report key deals and opportunities to the Sales Director when required
  • Work closely with back office functions to develop and enhance Defence specific processes and procedures to ensure on-going customer service improvement
  • Work closely with overlay functions to enhance and enable customers value-add experience
  • Direct the sales process by being a primary contributor to the Requests For Information (RFI)/Requests For Price (RFP’s) where required
  • Utilise the CRM platform to capture all relevant information and ensure it is updated and managed in-line with company expectations
  • Support objectives as defined in the company’s information security policy and perform your tasks in support of data and information security
  • Become SC Cleared

Ideally, you will already have:

  • Understanding of, or appetite to learn at pace, the UK Defence/Public Sector
  • Excellent rapport building skills and first-rate organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills to include presentation skills both face to face and virtually
  • A flexible approach to the working day that will inevitably include nights away from home and travel when required to attend client sites from time to time

  • Adhere to KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program within the business unit.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years Sales experience in an IT sales role
