Description:

- You have high motivation and enthusiasm for our projects, reliability, proactivity, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset to work well in a cross-function team environment.
- Strong understanding of the mechanics of materials.
- Experience working with nonstandard materials is an asset (anisotropic beams, foams, fibers)
- A strong attention to detail to write testing protocols, understand when results are unexpected, and understanding standardized testing methodologies
- You are studying in an Engineering field, other STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) disciplines will also be considered
- You are familiar with software like Adobe Suit, Rhino, Solidworks
- You have ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- You are fluent in English; German and/or Mandarin Chinese will be a plus
Responsibilities:
- As a Product Engineering Intern, you will develop and execute new testing protocols to take the design of our products to the next level
- Gain knowledge in materials (foams, springs, textiles, woods) testing and standardizations
- Evaluate applicability, design, and test alternative materials (metal, wood, etc.) and develop associated design requirements of those materials
- Monitor and report on all aspects of your projects including priorities, deadlines, profitability, and risks.
- Manage the structural testing of beds in the lab, including moving heavy objects up to 35kgs
