Description:
Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for an Inventory Clerk. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible to manage orders to facilitate sales or production and keep track of goods and services. As the Inventory Clerk you will be placing orders for more inventory according to demand, signing off on shipments, and counting the number of available products. If you are a detailed oriented inventory professional with excellent math and communication skills, this is the Inventory Clerk position for you!
Your responsibilities
- Working closely with the inventory analyst and purchasing manager
- Keeping track of items via counting and classifying
- Notice and report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
- Control inventory by stocking and cataloging products with heavy data entry into an ERP software system.
- Data entry duties- 75% of job.
- Getting prices and estimates from vendors and then comparing costs
- Handling all inconsistencies in documents; reconciling inventory counts, updating system.
- Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
- Strong communication and social skills
- Analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets; preferable NetSuite.
- 1+ years’ experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
- Possess broad knowledge of services and products offered by the company
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be skilled at problem solving and have a good attention to detail
