Summary:
Title: iOS Developer
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: Standard working hours (9-5)
Location: Toronto (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)
Salary: $65,000-$85,000
Target Start Date: January, 2025
Essential Tasks - In this job, you will:
- Work with the iOS team in an Agile environment
- Develop iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUl.
- Work with team members of 3 in an Agile pod environment and collaborate with other teams such as: Product, QA, Android, etc.
- Participate in Sprint review demos to showcase work in front of other team members and/or stakeholders
- Participate in refinements of feature stories by asking questions, reviewing gaps and coming up with solutions
General Skills and Abilities - You are:
- Able to work collaboratively and positively with your teammates to achieve shared goals
- Able to communicate clearly (verbally and written) with peers, supervisors and stakeholders
Digital/Technical Skills & Tools - You are:
- Intermediate skill level with Swift
- Basic to Intermediate skill level with SwiftUI
- Basic to Intermediate skill level with Concurrency (Async/Await)
- Basic to Intermediate skill level with Git
- Basic to intermediate skill level with Networking (URL Session)

Education/Knowledge - You:
- College diploma OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Have an understanding of multithreaded applications.
- Have an understanding of IT Standards, UX Design, Accessibility and Agile Methodologies
- Have knowledge of collective code ownership and pair programming
- Familiarity developing applications using Xcode (IDE)
- Ability to write unit tests (XCTest)
Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal) - You:
- Have at least one year of hands on experience (academic, professional, or personal) in building iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI , Async/Await and Unit Testing.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns e.g MVVM
- Nice to have (but not required):
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and scripts
- Experience working with Combine framework.
- Experience working with Accessibility/Voiceover, Dynamic type and Dark mode
