Ocean Infinity is seeking a Business Systems Engineer with a primary focus on NetSuite and supporting finance systems to join our dynamic IT team. Although finance-related systems and integrations are the primary focus of this role, additional support of Salesforce, Workday, and other in-flux operational systems is wanted. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, this role is pivotal in advancing our ERP environment. In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing our ERP system performance, ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration to support complex business operations. This position offers the unique opportunity to work within a technically advanced environment, utilizing NetSuite and leading ERP software as the central platform complemented by a range of supporting systems and integrations.

What you will do:

  • Positioned within the IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and efficiency of ERP systems including NetSuite and leading industry tools such as Salesforce and Workday. This includes activities such as integrations, reporting, system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and user support;
  • Partner with business and application owners to optimize software use and contribute to application roadmaps; perform as-is assessments and work with application owners and possibly software vendor(s) to gather functional and technical requirements (business analysis);
  • Specific to NetSuite: (a) develop scripts, (b) ability to understand and modify workflows, (c) perform analytics and manage saved searches, (d) troubleshoot issues in customisations, (e) and experience optimizing code and automation.
  • Develop and maintain positive and responsive relationships with internal stakeholders by leveraging customer-facing skills to continually assess and refine ERP system configurations to support changing business needs;;
  • Design and execute integration strategies for interfacing ERP systems with other business systems and applications (APIs, SOAP, REST, RESTLET, SAML, SSO); Monitor integration points to ensure smooth data flow and resolve any issues that arise;
  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions and reporting systems to transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making across the organization;
  • Lead projects related to the development and enhancement of the ERP environment, minimizing when possible reliance on third party developers;
  • Monitor and maintain performance metrics for system features, recommend and take corrective and preventive actions;
  • Perform configuration, change management and testing activities as required;
  • Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to users to enhance their understanding and utilization of the ERP system.

Who you are:

  • At least 5 years of experience in ERP system administration, preferably with a focus on NetSuite;
  • Proven track record in managing ERP projects, from design through implementation;
  • Proficiency in using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI for advanced data visualization and analysis from ERP data;
  • Understanding of database structure and design principles to optimize performance and data integrity;
  • Proficient in SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and SuiteAnalytics. Familiarity with JavaScript and HTML/CSS is a plus;
  • Experience developing integrations between Netsuite and other systems through APIs and middleware platforms;
  • Working knowledge and exposure to finance, accounting, and related reporting standards;
  • Understanding of cloud-based technologies and familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
  • Awareness of data security best practices and compliance standards, such as GDPR, to ensure that integrations and customizations do not compromise data integrity or security;
  • Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations and applicable policies and procedures;
  • Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
  • Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy;
  • Ability to work as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders;

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Industry relevant certifications.

Salary for this position: Up to £75,000 per annum
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
