The IT Costing Business Analyst will design and implement new information business systems, make major modifications and maintain existing systems, including the SAP ECC system and associated interfaces. This provides management the ability to strategically direct its business to achieve a competitive advantage on a continuous basis. This includes re-engineering of global business processes as required.
Responsibilities:

Areas of emphasis for an IT Cost Business Analyst will be knowledge in the following Business Processes:

  • Master Data, including Materials, Bills of Materials, Routings, Activity Types, Activity Rates, Cost Centers, Work Centers, Pricing conditions (used in purchasing/sales)
  • Costing processing includes Results Analysis/Settlements of various order types (Discrete, Make-to-order, engineer-to-order, Repair and return, Projects, Subcontract) as well as creating cost estimates for each of these situations.
  • Other areas include Physical inventory, Costing (marking, updating), Costing Runs, and performing all required month-end processing for a plant

Governance

  • Responsible for project guidance through planning and supervising the development of an information business system application to provide timely implementation within the project budget.
  • Maintain knowledge of new and changing technologies, new hardware, new software, and systems techniques that provide the most competitive business tools that support the business strategies by: attending seminars, vendor conferences, trade shows, and education sessions, use of the Internet, and on-site desktop educational courses.

Operations

  • Perform analysis and develop functional business system implementations through departmental requests, utilizing standard system analysis design techniques that meet the needs of ITSA but also benefits to all Ingersoll Rand.
  • Provide on-going day-to-day problem resolution, support, and training for the SAP ECC and other systems to ITSA.
  • Plan, Design, Configure, test, document and train in SAP ECC processes
  • Perform Data loads as required for SAP ERP implementations
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Strategic Alignment

  • Design or re-engineer recognized “best practices” business systems that properly and efficiently utilize the SAP ECC 6.0 systems, being mindful of the global footprint to Ingersoll Rand. Provide on-going support for any configuration related issues
  • Support and train the ITSA Super user(s).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years experience in SAP business system analysis, design, configuration and project management or in an area that provides in depth business knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with multiple SAP and/or other system Implementations
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple sites
  • 25% Travel
