Are you the one to lead our Cloud ERP Program IT Management?
Valmet is going full speed ahead with its ERP renewal program, Leap Forward. This transformation program is rolling out new ERP processes and covers every part of Valmet’s business globally. We are now looking for an enthusiastic experienced Project Manager for Cloud to join our multi-talented Leap Forward IT team in Vantaa Tikkurila (or alternatively Tampere or Jyväskylä). In this position you will be responsible for Cloud project management with strong architectural background. With your can-do attitude, you will develop and improve Leap Forward Cloud Program IT requirements together with the Leap Program and the business functions, your team members and other IT teams and external partners.
You will work with and across a diverse range of functions and it is essential you have extensive experience working with several stakeholder groups of business, IT, partners and customers. Not only do you have professional experience leading global IT program, but you have proven experience in initiating and driving both continuous improvement and major changes with our AMS partners. You work closely with your Global IT colleagues and regional IT to support our business lines and areas in their operations. Your background is such that you are able to provide thought leadership and insights into business technology and related business and IT process best practices.
Your key responsibilities:
To succeed in this position, you will need to display expertise, great communication and influencing skills, analytical and self-driven approach towards continuous service development that helps you to

positively impact our way to operate. You will:

  • Provide leadership and management to all team members and key stakeholders
  • Have accountability on ensuring IT services delivery of own responsibility area against defined service levels and financial plans
  • Maintain Cloud IT budgeting
  • Maintain multiyear IT Cloud roadmap and own roadmap execution within your area of responsibility
  • Develop and enhance relationships with senior stakeholders and actively manage their expectations
  • Manage vendors in your area to ensure right balance between value and cost
  • Run continuous improvement processes to drive quality and efficiency

The Leap Forward program covers every part of Valmet’s global business. This type of project includes constant change, tight deadlines, roadblocks, setbacks and many challenges. On the other hand, it gives a great sense of achievement to see the fruits of the development work, when project rollouts and transformation proceeds, changing the business.   • Solid experience from global ERP projects/programs
  • A proven track record of influencing and aligning stakeholders to achieve complex, often conflicting goals across organizational boundaries
  • Extensive experience on successful management of global services & partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies
  • Good social and presentation skills
  • Understanding of business technologies and IT management
  • Strategic mindset with a big-picture view
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • University level degree in information technology, economics, engineering or relevant field

Additional information:
The position will be based preferably in Järvenpää office, where Leap Forward program core is. Järvenpää office will relocate to Tikkurila Vantaa, Finland during Q1/2025. Other major locations in Finland can be considered.
