SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience managing payroll, generating invoices, and creating purchase orders
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industries
  • Finance or accounting related education (CPA is not required)
  • Strong time management and ability to be proactive in your daily work
  • Experience working with accounts payable and accounts receivable collection and management
  • Ability to communicate with external clients
  • Strong understanding or Microsoft Excel and knowledge of accounting software
  • Desire to continue developing as a sales leader in the construction industry

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are immediately hiring an experienced Junior Accountant to join our Vancouver team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will have the opportunity to work directly with external clients, ensuring all invoices and related accounting needs are processed. You will also work with internal team members by managing weekly contractor payroll, and bi-weekly company payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate and send weekly invoices to customers, and process invoice requests from customers
  • Process weekly payroll for construction workers on job sites
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensure all payments are up-to-date
  • Approve worker timesheets and hours with on site contacts/customers
  • Collect purchase orders from customers accounts payable teams
  • Coordinate with company bookkeeper for month-end statements
  • Support leadership team in daily accounting duties
