SUMMARY:

The primary duty of this role is to support the credit department by preparing and verifying information on credit applications for both Canada and the US. Additionally, the applicant will be responsible for providing recommendations or making informed decisions on credit applications.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • 1 year of experience working in a similar role (Preferred)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to review applications and credit reports with precision and accuracy is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in assessing credit information, conducting evaluations, and making informed credit recommendations and decisions are important.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact with internal teams
  • Organizational Skills: Being able to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, especially when dealing with multiple credit applications and administrative responsibilities.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to resolve issues, troubleshoot errors, and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review and verify credit application details, which involves:


    • Identifying and correcting any application errors in the system

    • Confirming the accuracy of business locations
    • Ensuring the validity of Tax Identification Numbers
    • Investigating and confirming the legitimacy of tradenames and corporate entities
    • Performing comprehensive land title searches
    • Obtaining and analyzing consumer and commercial credit reports as require
    • Evaluate new and existing vendors to ensure compliance and reliability
    • Perform asset valuations on expensive or specialized equipment, real estate, and other forms of collateral, ensuring accurate assessment of their market value.
    • Support various credit administrative functions to maintain efficient operations
    • Make informed decisions on credit applications when necessary, ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines
