Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated or equivalent Certificate II qualifications in relevant fields such as finance, accounting, or has similar work experience.
  • Understanding and ability to apply financial management policies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure data integrity through demonstrated attention to details and quality data entry.
  • Understand Government laws such as GST.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a broad range of clients and recognize when to action and when to refer queries.
  • Demonstrated administration skills and proficient computer literacy skills including some knowledge of financial management software applications.

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the Finance Intern role is to assist CS#1’s accounts payable function, and to respond to routine queries. The Finance Intern works under the guidance and direction of the Finance Coordinator undertaking routine accounts processing tasks.
SACS Level 2, per hour $32.21 plus Superannuation and excellent salary packaging.
Fixed Term Contract until November 2024 – 3 hours per day for 3 days per week (flexible).

Keys responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate data entry in various online and software platforms.
  • Quality customer service for routine account queries escalating non routine queries and debtor cases as needed.
  • Administer and monitor accounts inboxes and escalating all non-routine queries to the Finance Coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate information records, whilst adhering to ethical privacy and confidentiality principles.
  • Perform other duties as directed, commensurate with the skills and expectations of the role.
