Junior Franchise Trainee
Location: Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria Johannesburg & Louis Trichardt
Overview:
Join our team as a Junior Franchise Trainee, assisting in the management and development of franchise stores. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fostering strong franchise relationships and ensuring that brand standards and operational excellence are upheld. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting franchisees with operations, product training, financial management, and brand development while helping to grow our franchise presence and enhance customer experiences.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or degree in Retail, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience: Some prior experience in retail or sales is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong computer skills; familiarity with Garb- internal systems is beneficial (training will be provided).
- Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- A passion for brand growth, customer service, and franchise management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of operations and customer service principles.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area to support store operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with franchisees, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Provide franchise support through store visits, regular check-ins, and on-site operational guidance.
- Assist in conducting training sessions and provide solutions to client inquiries.
Product and Quality Standards
- Uphold product quality and brand standards by performing regular quality checks.
- Monitor frozen supply chain protocols and train teams on baking and product-handling procedures.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring proper service scheduling.
Operational Support
- Support franchisees with in-store operational processes, including adherence to standard procedures and promotional campaigns.
- Drive the use of internal tools, audits, and operational guidelines to meet brand and financial targets.
Sales & Financial Growth
- Assist franchisees in implementing sales growth strategies to increase customer counts, sales volumes, and reduce shrinkage.
- Track stock rotation and facilitate promotions across the region to improve visibility and customer engagement.
Training & Development
- Collaborate with the Training Department to implement franchisee training sessions.
- Conduct on-the-job training to reinforce quality standards and operational excellence.
Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain organized records and submit regular progress reports to senior management.
- Participate in regional meetings, providing feedback and insights on store performance and brand development.
