We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to manage our DevOps team and oversee the architecture, development, and implementation of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Kubernetes and Cloud Native stack, infrastructure as code, GitOps, automation, and managing teams. He should possess excellent leadership qualities, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and automation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Lead and manage the DevOps team to design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures on AWS and GCP.
• Develop and enforce infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices using tools like Terraform.
• Oversee the orchestration and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Implement GitOps practices to automate CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment frequency.
• Create and maintain automated deployment processes to ensure fast and reliable releases.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth code integration and deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with infrastructure and application environments.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and automation, consistently seeking ways to streamline processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, ensuring best practices are followed across projects.
• Implement security measures to safeguard cloud infrastructure, focusing on compliance and secure operations.
• Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential integration into the organization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in a DevOps leadership role, managing cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in AWS and GCP cloud platforms, with a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Proficiency in GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD, Flux, or similar.
• Strong background in automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Ability to manage and lead a team, fostering growth and ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation purposes.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Certifications in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with database management and cloud storage solutions. Understanding of database management, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases - Experience with Cassandra is a plus.
• Knowledge of network configurations and security protocols in cloud environments
