As a Lead GCP Systems Engineer at EPAM, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust GCP-based infrastructures. Your strategic decisions will ensure scalability, reliability and optimal performance of cloud systems serving diverse sectors, including finance, healthcare and technology.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of professional experience working with Google Cloud
  • Proficient in modern scripting languages
  • Experience in the implementation, configuration, maintenance and support of a cloud network, as well as various other Google Cloud services
  • Experience with infrastructure management tools such as Terraform and Puppet
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring using monitoring tools
  • Understand the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Proven track record in coding, solution definition, project/execution
  • Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications on Google Cloud
  • Understand the intricacies of Google cloud design and its implications on cost
  • Master networking principles and protocols including Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, Hybrid Networks, etc
  • Work with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Buildkite, etc
  • Collaborate closely with clients to tailor Kubernetes solutions according to their specific application requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and network connectivity
