Rapid7 is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our growing Enterprise Applications Team as it continues to advance the organization’s Technology and IT Services offerings.
We are looking to add a curious and detail-oriented business analyst with process expertise, enterprise systems experience, technical acumen and the personality to foster good discussions and great relationships with stakeholders and business partners.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Our IT Business Analysis team is looking for a dynamic Lead Business Systems Analyst with the strategic foresight and focus to drive the formulation of technology strategy and process transformation with their business partners and across IT. This is a highly cross-functional role, working with IT and business functions across the Customer Success domain to support their priorities with process analysis, technical solutions, and business requirements management.

THE SKILLS YOU’LL BRING INCLUDE:

  • 10+ years as a Business Systems Analyst as part of an enterprise IT technology team that works with a variety of business functions
  • Experience with Customer Success and Customer Operations teams, and supporting their tech stacks
  • Detail-oriented, but able to translate complex problems and solutions into digestible information for any audience (including executive management)
  • Experience supporting with Salesforce and Service Cloud
  • Expertise with JIRA and Confluence, from writing User Stories, to tracking Defects, and building in-system reports to show how our sprints/releases are progressing and where we have opportunities to improve
  • The ability to work effectively with other business analysts, key stakeholders, application administrators and end users to understand business and functional requirements and translate those requirements to executable work for the engineering teams.
  • Possesses the confidence to envision, drive, and implement change and improve on the status quo.
  • Resourceful individual that enjoys solving complex problems, requiring cross-functional collaboration and the facilitation of conversation across a variety of business domains.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will be driven, proactive, innovative, and passionate in helping us to look for new ways to solve our business problems leveraging technology, enterprise systems and tools, process reengineering and operational performance improvements.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand and anticipate their problems and needs, using your expertise to analyze and document business processes and requirements
  • Provide high-level technical solutions and opportunities to further leverage our core applications
  • This person will be translating high level business objectives into technical business requirements and stories, partnering across development teams to ensure that we deliver high quality solutions that meet (or exceed) the business expectations
  • This person will have experience working with Customer Success teams (Customer Operations, Onboarding, Customer Experience, Managed Services) and technologies (e.g. Salesforce, Service Cloud, Certinia)
  • Create meaningful documentation, engage in research, and investigate process improvement opportunities (either for stand-alone enhancements, or as part of a larger program)
  • This person will play a key role in the engineering and development teams, helping to refine the backlog (based on business priorities and interdependencies), providing hands-on support with testing and requirements validation, and summarizing the outcomes of the release (via release notes)
