Lead Product Engineer
We are looking for:
We’re looking for a Lead Product Engineer to join our customer’s team in Helsinki. This role allows you to develop the future of water and waste management solutions, emphasizing sustainability and innovation.
As a Lead Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical development and continuous improvement of our customer’s wet waste treatment product lines, including their design, updates, and standardization. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and performance. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, sales, project delivery, and sourcing to drive the success of our product lines.
Location: Helsinki, Finland

As a Lead Product Engineer, you will:

• Assist in the development and enhancement of wet waste treatment products.
• Maintain technical responsibility for product lines, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for standard products and systems.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support product development, ensuring cost competitiveness, timely delivery, and quality.

To succeed, you have:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Process, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, and pressure vessels.
• Proficiency in CAD and PDM/PLM tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a system-level approach to engineering challenges.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in product development, product management, or project engineering.
• Proactive and well-organized with a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and equipment dimensioning.
• Demonstrated experience in working with wet waste treatment technologies.
• A passion for sustainability and driving positive environmental impact through innovative engineering solutions.
• Ability to occasionally travel and visit test facilities in the capital region.
