Job Description

SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join our team at DELANO Dubai. DELANO Dubai is a unique blend of timeless elegance, modern design, and vibrant energy. The role will report to the Director of People & Culture and will be responsible for contributing to the hotel’s performance by facilitating onboarding and training, driving engagement, learning and development, performance, and talent within the hotel. The successful candidate will be passionate about achieving operational excellence in the L&D department and delivering measurable results.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a reputable school preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably within luxury brands
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent proficiency in English

Responsibilities:

Learning & Facilitation

  • Prepare a learning needs analysis for the hotel.
  • Develop the Hotel Training Plan and budget aligned with the hotel’s goals and strategic plan.
  • Follow up on all training activities within the hotel.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with corporate training.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs provided by all internal providers.
  • Advocate for company-provided online and e-learning tools and portals, ensuring approval processes are in place and executed, as well as monitoring and tracking registrations and completions.
  • Assist the hotel in developing quality introductory and ongoing departmental training plans and learning activities; maintain active follow-up through ongoing coaching, guidance, and support of junior-, mid-level-, and senior leaders.
  • Support the development of Departmental Trainers as required.
  • Participate in regional meetings/workshops and ensure such activities are implemented as required in the hotel.
  • Advocate for the creation of a learning culture.

Talent Development & Performance Management

  • Facilitate the performance management cycle from probation reviews, annual performance reviews, development plans, and goal setting, as well as on-the-job training for Department Heads and their teams.
  • Maintain required documentation standards.

Employee Engagement and Communications

  • Strive to increase employee engagement by promoting a positive work environment and ensuring each team member is informed and proactive about the overall business goals.
  • Champion Employee Engagement Survey action plans for the hotel/departments to increase employee engagement and improve scores year on year.

Finance

  • Review the hotel financial KPIs and identify where Learning and Development can add value.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual L&D budget based on corporate trainings and training needs analysis.
