REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • This role typically requires a 4-year undergraduate degree, a paralegal certificate, and/or equivalent experience. 2-3 years of prior legal assistant/paralegal experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills and high degree of organization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and to handle a high-volume of tasks.
  • Team player and collaborator.
  • Second language, particularly Arabic, will be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

We welcome applications to join our Global Ethics & Compliance group as a Paralegal or Senior Paralegal, where you will play an integral role in supporting our Eastern Hemisphere compliance and investigations team supporting the investigation of reports related to our ethics guidelines (Halliburton’s Code of Business Conduct), assisting in caseload management, preparing critical materials for internal and external reporting, and supporting programmatic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the creation and maintenance of matters in our case management system.
  • Assist in the location of documents, records, witnesses, etc., and maintaining case files, records, and information systems.
  • Work closely with internal investigators in the intake, triage, handling, and documenting of reports of ethics concerns.
  • Work closely with the Regional Compliance Counsels on general inquiries and requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and other internal stakeholders on general inquiries and actions, locating documents, scheduling witness interviews, taking minutes and notes during interviews and other meetings, and triaging reports and requests.
  • Coordinate and participate in fact-gathering interviews.
  • Support internal training initiatives presented and led by the Global Ethics & Compliance group.
  • Prepare required reports (statistics, PowerPoints, etc.) for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Conduct other miscellaneous tasks as required to support the department and its global initiatives.
