Description:

Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation, and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members. Coulson Aviation operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet of Boeing 737 FIRELINERS and C-130 Hercules fire bombers, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters, we provide rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.
Coulson Aviation Australia operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management, and operating personnel. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • CASA B1.1 or B2 License
  • 2 or more years of experience working in Australia as LAME
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC Clearance
  • Ability to obtain RAAF Base Access

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Type Rating:
  • Boeing 737; and/or
  • Beechcraft King Air 300 Series; and/or
  • Cessna Citation 550/560
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
  • No Exclusions on CASA License
  • Aerial Fire Suppression maintenance experience

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on customer-owned aircraft ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues as appropriately qualified to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness of aircraft and role equipment
  • Supervising unlicensed engineers, apprentices and/or contractors as and when required
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance documentation of all work performed.
  • Support operations of emergency service aircraft to ensure effective response to missions
