  • Recent experience in investigation, inspection, compliance and enforcement.
  • Effectively managing and navigating complex, high volume, demanding, active caseload.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, analyzing and synthesizing information. including the interpretation and application of legislation, regulation, policies and procedures.
  • Experience developing and providing advice to senior management, preferably in a government setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You must be willing to communicate with and provide services to clients demonstrating challenging and at times violent and verbal abusive behaviors. During work hours you may be exposed to and deal with significant work hazards and stressful situations, such as intoxicated patrons; noisy, dark and poorly ventilated premises.

  • Willingness and ability to work in, and travel to, Yukon communities in all seasons, approximately 10-15 times a year (from 2 to 14 days) by aircraft or vehicle.
  • The position consistently is required to perform evening inspections of licensed premises alone and on a regular basis which requires working late evenings, until after midnight and on weekend shifts & statutory holidays.
