Responsibilities:

As a Licensing Manager (f/m/d) within Delos Cloud you are responsible for managing and overseeing all contractual aspects of software licensing for Delos Cloud and performing as a subject matter expert on Microsoft software licensing towards our customers within German government. You collaborate with various teams within the organization, as well as external partners and customers, to negotiate, draft, and administer contracts to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:

Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with clients, vendors, and partners to negotiate software development, distribution, and licensing agreements that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

  • Contract Drafting: Create clear and comprehensive software-related contracts that encompass licensing terms, intellectual property rights, warranties, support services, and other relevant clauses.
  • License Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with software license terms and usage restrictions by customers and partners, taking necessary actions to address non-compliance issues.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with software contracts, including legal, financial, and operational risks, to protect the company’s interests.
  • Vendor and Customer Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers within German government, its IT service providers as well as Microsoft to foster collaboration and address any contract-related concerns or disputes.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of software-related contracts, from negotiation and execution to renewal or termination, ensuring adherence to timelines and obligations.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay updated with software industry regulations, intellectual property laws, and other relevant legal developments to ensure the company’s contracts remain compliant.
  • Pricing and Cost Management: Work closely with sales, finance, and marketing teams to determine competitive pricing models and optimize software licensing costs.
  • Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess the performance of software contracts and analyze key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product development, marketing, sales, and legal teams to understand software requirements and align contract strategies accordingly.
