Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Midrange & Storage Services Manager and based onsite in Silverwater, you will work closely with the Operations, Applications, and Service Delivery teams, as well as Business Groups and third-party vendors, to provide engineering and BAU support for Linux-based applications. Your focus will be on SOE development, system improvements, and consolidating enterprise-level system management methods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a technical escalation point for incidents, service requests, problems, and RFC’s.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of incidents, problems, and changes within their respective processes.
  • Administer the end-to-end lifecycle of all incidents in the Incident Management process, Problem Management process and Change Management process.
  • Create and quality check documentation to ensure the team can support and maintain the service effectively.
  • Develop and review service improvement plans for technical accuracy, providing budget input and vendor quotes.
  • Coordinate and review technical resources of the team, escalating progress information to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitor team resource allocation to estimate availability as required.
  • Organise and administer a skill management program for the technical services team.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of new technologies and products for technical services use.
  • Assist in developing technology roadmaps that align with product and technology releases.
  • Produce detailed technical recommendations for the submission to governance forums.
