Summary
Lidl & Kaufland Asia is hiring a Logistic Coordinator to join our logistic hardgoods team. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide administrative support through collaboration and sound problem-solving skills across a wide range of shipments to various ports within Europe and America.

The objectives of the position are:

  • Support on time payments to Lidl & Kaufland Asia and our factories through timely processing of all shipment releases documents incl. invoices and discrepancies.
  • Proactively support internal and external stakeholders that ensure our shipments release as planned and forecasted

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate and follow up delivery arrangement with internal merchandising team and suppliers
  • Ensure on time shipments via sea and other modes of transport (rail and air) through the on time loading of the shipment release within the correct 3PL system.
  • Lead the RFQ and final execution of special transportation arrangements such as airfreight and rail. This includes obtaining a minimum of 3 x 3PL quotes for such special transportation arrangements.
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure a complete and accurate bundle of commercial documents are provided in line with the handing over of goods.
  • Ensure daily dispatching of Logistic documents to key stakeholders are complete, accurate and timely.
  • Provide support to the Assistant Logistics Manager in problem-solving and handling ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
  • Complete the updating of all shipping records within the company’s EDI system

What you’ll need

  • Form 5 or above
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience handling full set I/E shipping document within shipping field preferred (would be an advantage if it is a leading European / Trading company)
  • Form 7 or above
  • Passionate, self-motivated individual who collaborates well with others.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience within Logistics (would be an advantage if it is a leading European company)
  • Communication Skill: Excellent communication skill (both written and verbal) to ensure tasks completed are understood and accepted by key stakeholders
  • Good command of both spoken and written language in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Decision Making: Good decision-making skills to be able to complete key tasks in order or priority.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Be able work through the variety of Logistics and ensure are processed without error.
  • Critical Thinking: Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Immediate availability is highly preferred
