We are now looking for a Logistics Project Lead to join our team on a full-time, fixed term contract basis from September 2024 until February 2025.
As this is a seasonal contract, we request full availability, particularly flexibility across the summer months of December - February.

About the role
As the Logistics Project Lead, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of all venue logistical requirements for the Australian Open (AO) and its associated facilities and offsite storage. You will work behind the scenes to ensure all logistics services are delivered smoothly and reflect the high standards we strive to attain for our customer base.
Reporting to the Logistics and Warehousing Manager, you will:

Coordinate and communicate with contractors, clients, staff and event personnel regarding site procedures and requirements for pre, during and post event modes.

  • Coordinate logistics needs for planning, bump in, event period and bump out
  • Assist in developing and presenting reports; projects status, timelines, budgets, post-event evaluation, continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate operational requirements and site activities
  • Assist in preparing and communicating any venue logistics, warehousing, and related safety procedures.
  • Oversee and monitor site inventory distribution.

About you

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience in either event operations, logistics, supply chain or similar.
  • High computer literacy and experience with databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and contribute to a positive and successful work environment
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
