Description:
Join our early childhood team as a Long-Term Substitute Infant Teacher from December 1st to the first week of March, with the potential for a permanent, full-time role following this period. As the morning opener in our infant room, you’ll play a key role in welcoming families, building relationships, and ensuring a smooth transition each day for our youngest learners. This position requires experience in an infant room and strong communication skills to engage with families and provide exceptional care. - Great Pay: Competitive pay between $17.10-$25.00/hour dependent on qualifications.

What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate: Work with teachers to implement quality early childhood programs
- Plan & Lead: Assist in lesson planning and lead activities
- Ensure Safety: Supervise activities to keep children safe
- Organize: Help maintain a neat and organized classroom
- Communicate: Share relevant information with teachers and the director, and address child concerns appropriately
- Engage Families: Maintain professional communication with parents and guardians
- Confidentiality: Keep all information confidential
- Compliance: Help maintain state Child Care Licensing requirements
Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must have one (1) year of experience working with children birth-to grade three (3)
- At a minimum must have a high school diploma or have completed a GED and meet at least one (1) of the following qualifications:
- Completion of Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate
- A completion of a three (3) college credit course in child or human development or a three (3) credit college course for school age care and education
- At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate
- At least a current CDA (Child Development Associate)
- At least a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education
- Ability to pass federal background and state fingerprint checks.
