POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will maintain and repair essential electrical and mechanical systems, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across operations. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Red Seal certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or an Industrial Electrician.
  • Experience in inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and policies.
  • Project planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to manage parts inventory and process invoices.
  • Proficiency in equipment calibration and documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with PLC ladder logic.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair production systems, participate in projects, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Respond to equipment failures and call-ins; perform after-hours and weekend repairs as part of scheduled on-call rotation.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, coordinate with departments, and order necessary parts.
  • Promote and ensure safety standards and stay current with safety policies.
  • Order, receive, and manage parts inventory, and process invoices.
  • Perform and document calibrations according to standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of plant areas
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance efficiency and suggest system upgrades.
  • Provide operational and safety training for employees as required.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
