Valmet Global Financial Operations is expanding globally and now looking for enthusiastic and energetic finance professional to take a manager role in Financial Reporting.

Financial Reporting team drives the process and system improvements in Valmet Record to Report area. The team is responsible for transferring and reconciling financial data from accounting systems to reporting layer. In addition to monthly reporting tasks, the team drives financial data quality work by providing expertise in accounting and reporting matters to Business partners and across Global Finance Organization by participating in transformation projects. The team is also responsible for creation and maintenance of fundamental financial structures and key master data.
Your responsibilities:
- Solid ownership of Financial Reporting related processes including process workflow, quality, compliance, and process development
- Solid ownership of financial master data, integrations and data related processes including process workflow, quality, compliance and process development
- Process owner and executor for assigned process areas including process workflow, quality, compliance and process development
- Manage own team of accounting professionals and ensure high level of expertise is in place both short and long term
- Provide coaching and feedback to ensure that the team is able to perform their work effectively
- Ensure accuracy, timelines and the general integrity of Valmet financials
- Identify and understand requirements and gaps in solutions and effectively conduct change management
- Provide expertise and advice on accounting issues to stakeholders
- Work closely with Business and Group Finance and create network of stakeholders and specialists within own expertise area
- Drive development according to industry trends on Valmet level
Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance
- Working experience as a line manager (5+ years) gained in finance positions
- Understanding and experience of developing and managing finance processes, tools and organizations preferably in a publicly listed international company
- Deep knowledge and expertise on finance systems (global ERP and consolidation systems)
- Excellent presentation, communication and networking skills with ability to deliver complex messages in an effective way
- Experience in understanding business models and ways of working in transformation and transitions is an advantage.
- Fluent in English both in written and verbal, competence in other languages is an advantage
- Ability to work well under pressure, identify critical topics and help keep others positive and motivated
- Experience in coaching and developing team competencies and acting as a change agent
- Self-motivated leadership with ability to roll up sleeves when working across teams and functions to influence action
- Willingness to travel and working across time zones, flexibility needed

Additional information:
The working location can be any of our major locations in Jyväskylä, Tampere or Järvenpää. Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
